Lagos Speaker Obasa praises President Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting economic and governance reforms at Mushin Ramadan Lecture
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for steadfast and rewarding leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda during the 20th Annual Mushin Ramadan Lecture on March 3, 2026.

Obasa delivered remarks as Chairman of the event, hosted by Hon. Nurein Akinsanya, the Mushin Constituency 1 representative. He drew parallels between Islamic governance principles and Tinubu’s reformist agenda.
“Leadership is about service, vision, and responsibility to the people,” Obasa said, noting that Tinubu’s administration had worked to stabilise the economy, strengthen democratic institutions, and improve governance.
He highlighted progress in energy, transport, and infrastructure, insisting that the President’s policies reflect Islamic values of justice and accountability.
“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already laying the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” Obasa added.
The Lagos Speaker urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, emphasising that unity and civic commitment are crucial for national growth and development.

The lecture, themed “Islamic Injunction and Leadership,” was held in memory of the late Chief Moshood Akanbi Akinsanya, a prominent grassroots leader and father of Hon. Akinsanya. It attracted dignitaries, scholars, and community leaders, serving as both a spiritual and civic forum for reflection.
