X has launched X Lift, a new artificial intelligence-powered advertising tool designed to turn a business website into a ready-to-review advertising campaign, as the social media platform seeks to make ad creation faster and more accessible to businesses.
The product was unveiled at Advertising Week New York on October 6, 2026, as part of a wider expansion of AI capabilities within X Ads Manager.

X says X Lift brings together three core principles, speed, scale and intelligence, while reducing the manual work traditionally required to set up an advertising campaign.
With X Lift AI, an advertiser can provide a business website address and allow the system to analyse the destination before generating a selection of advertising options, including written copy and images.
The system can then build other elements of the campaign, including audience targeting.
The advertiser remains responsible for setting the budget, reviewing the proposed campaign and deciding whether to launch it.
The approach is particularly aimed at advertisers who are new to X, including smaller businesses that may not have dedicated advertising teams or extensive resources for campaign planning and setup.
X’s existing advertising platform already offers AI-powered targeting and campaign optimisation, but X Lift takes the automation further by moving the starting point from a blank campaign setup to the advertiser’s existing website.
The company says the development comes as more businesses turn to self-service advertising.
X reported that the number of active self-serve advertisers on its platform increased by 50 per cent in the third quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier.
Mohit Bhatia, X’s lead engineer for advertising products, described the new offering during an Advertising Week New York panel as the company’s first major product to bring its three principles of speed, scale and intelligence together.
X’s launch is part of a broader attempt to rebuild its advertising infrastructure.
In April 2026, the company announced a phased rollout of a rebuilt, AI-powered advertising platform after undertaking a major overhaul of its ads technology.
The push reflects the growing competition among major technology platforms to use generative AI not only to create individual advertisements but to automate more of the advertising process.
Meta also unveiled new AI advertising capabilities at Advertising Week New York, including an upgraded AI business assistant and expanded creative tools for brands.
The company is also widening access to Ads Creative Studio, which uses performance data to help inform new video advertising concepts.
For X, the appeal of X Lift lies in simplifying a process that can be particularly demanding for smaller advertisers.
Rather than requiring businesses to manually develop creative assets, configure targeting and work through multiple campaign settings before reaching a launch-ready draft, the system is intended to handle much of that groundwork automatically.
The development also comes as X continues to position its advertising business around measurable business outcomes.
Its current advertising platform promotes tools for selecting campaign objectives, defining audiences, creating ads and optimising performance as results come in.
However, automation does not remove the need for human judgement.
Advertisers still have to assess whether AI-generated copy and imagery accurately represent their brands, whether the proposed audience is appropriate and whether the campaign aligns with their commercial objectives.
That distinction could become increasingly important as AI makes it easier for businesses to produce large volumes of advertising material.
Faster campaign creation may reduce technical barriers, but the quality of the strategy and creative work will ultimately determine whether the additional speed translates into meaningful results.
For X, the launch represents a significant step towards making advertising on the platform more accessible, particularly to businesses that may previously have found campaign setup too complicated or resource-intensive.

With X Lift now joining the platform’s expanding suite of AI advertising tools, X is betting that reducing the distance between a company’s website and a live campaign can bring more advertisers into its ecosystem and encourage existing customers to launch campaigns more efficiently.
