Victor Osimhen transfer race heats up as Arsenal and Manchester United prepare bids worth up to €140m for the Galatasaray striker
Galatasaray are bracing for major offers for Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen as Arsenal and Manchester United prepare to compete for the forward’s signature in a potential Victor Osimhen transfer valued between €130 million and €140 million.

Reports from Turkish and European media on Thursday indicate that both Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the situation ahead of the summer transfer window, with Galatasaray aware that retaining their star forward may prove increasingly difficult.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is understood to be particularly determined to secure the striker, reportedly identifying Osimhen as a crucial addition to strengthen his attacking options.
Despite the arrival of Swedish forward Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon for €66 million last summer, Arsenal are said to remain unconvinced by their current striking options.
Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz have also struggled to establish themselves as consistent central attacking threats within Arteta’s tactical system.
Manchester United are also assessing the Nigerian striker as part of their plans to reinforce the squad ahead of the next campaign.
Reports suggest Osimhen’s name has resurfaced during recruitment discussions at Old Trafford.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is believed to be among those urging the club’s hierarchy to pursue the forward aggressively.
Chelsea have also been mentioned as potential contenders should the bidding escalate.
Osimhen recently strengthened his growing reputation with another influential performance for Galatasaray.
The 27 year old provided the decisive assist in the Turkish champions’ 1-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Liverpool in the first leg of their round of 16 tie on Tuesday.
Across all competitions this season, Osimhen has recorded 18 goals and six assists in 26 appearances, reinforcing his status as one of Europe’s most dangerous forwards.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen emphasised that his immediate focus remains on helping Galatasaray progress in the competition.
“I believe in this team and the kind of performance we put in against a very good side like Liverpool. I’m optimistic that we can do some damage there at Anfield,” the striker said.
Galatasaray, who paid €75 million to sign Osimhen permanently from Napoli last summer, are reluctant to part with their prized striker.
However, club officials acknowledge that the scale of interest and the potential financial windfall may prove irresistible.

Any completed Victor Osimhen transfer within the reported €120 million to €140 million range would shatter the Turkish Super Lig transfer record and rank among the most expensive deals in European football history.
