Verydarkman interviews

Verydarkman interviews Mohbad’s friend Dominica, who alleges NDLEA assault, drug use, and troubling behaviour prior to the late singer’s death

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman, has released a new episode in his ongoing investigation into the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad.

In it, he interviews Dominica, a woman described as a close friend of the late artist.

The emotional and revealing session features Dominica recounting her personal experiences with Mohbad, including the day they were allegedly arrested together during a National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raid on the Marlian house.

“They hit him on the head several times before taking him to their office,” she claimed. According to Dominica, Mohbad was released later that day due to a scheduled performance in Dubai.

She also alleged that Mohbad’s partner, Wunmi, was assaulted during the incident but managed to escape.

Dominica described herself as the girlfriend of one of Mohbad’s close friends at the time and said she remained in NDLEA custody for several days.

Dominica admitted that Mohbad occasionally used drugs and alcohol, and claimed that his substance use often made him aggressive.

She said he once told her, “I have to get high to be sharp in the studio.”

They hit him on the head several times before taking him to their office.

She further alleged that fellow singer Bella Shmurda introduced Mohbad to drugs.

The interview also touched on tense moments within Mohbad’s inner circle. Dominica said she overheard Wunmi complaining about Mohbad’s behaviour to his father and to Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Music.

She expressed regret that her device’s data ran out during the period, preventing her from capturing more of what she witnessed.

“I couldn’t continue recording. I ran out of data and battery,” she said.

Verydarkman interviews Mohbad’s friend as part of a broader effort to uncover the truth surrounding the singer’s controversial passing, which continues to spark debate and demand for justice across Nigeria.

The activist’s investigation has drawn massive attention online and reignited calls for a thorough official probe into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
