The messages were delivered in separate video clips shared on the official Super Eagles X account on Wednesday, as Nigeria prepare for the high-stakes encounter in Rabat.

Troost-Ekong, who led Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, expressed pride in the team’s progress and confidence in their ability to overcome the host nation.

“My brothers, the day is here and I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch you guys beat Morocco tonight,” Troost-Ekong said.

“I am more than proud to have been a part of your team and what you are achieving now.”

The central defender noted that the Super Eagles have improved steadily throughout the tournament, pointing to growing balance and effectiveness in midfield rotations.

“It has been game after game, getting better and better. The rotation is working now,” he said.

Troost-Ekong added that victory against Morocco would place Nigeria firmly on course for the title, urging the players to remain united and embrace the moment.

“If you win this game against Morocco, you are going to lift the trophy. Stick together and enjoy the moment,” he stated.

He also described the semi-final stage as one of the most memorable experiences in a footballer’s career and encouraged the squad to fight together.

In a separate message, Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina praised both the players and the technical crew for their collective effort at the tournament.

“I want to wish you all the very best in the semi-finals,” Aina said. “To the players, the technical crew, the manager, coaches, physios and doctors, everyone there is doing a fantastic job.”

Aina said it had been impressive watching the Super Eagles perform to their potential and pledged his support from afar.

“It has been amazing seeing you guys play the way we know you can play. I will be rooting for you from home and sending you all my prayers and well wishes,” he added.
