The reaction followed a viral social media post by user Ayo, known as @mariolexxx, who recalled how Toyin Abraham was repeatedly questioned online after her pictures with Tinubu surfaced.
In the post, Ayo described how members of a group jokingly encouraged others to flood Toyin Abraham’s comment sections with the phrase, “Wetin Tinubu tell you,” turning it into a running joke at the time.
Responding via her official X handle on Tuesday, Toyin Abraham said she had forgiven those who mocked or attacked her over the incident.
Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, however, went further by alleging that some individuals were paid to drag her reputation and label her with derogatory names.
“My love, it’s fine. I have forgiven you,” the actress wrote, before addressing the broader backlash she said resurfaced recently.
She insisted that unless she does not serve a living God or has unclean hands, those who deliberately attempted to shame her would eventually be exposed.
Toyin Abraham claimed she possesses screenshots, videos, and confessions which she said prove coordinated efforts to discredit her online.
She stressed that anyone, regardless of background, who accepted money to malign her without provocation would be publicly disgraced.
The Toyin Abraham Tinubu backlash has continued to generate debate on social media, highlighting the intense scrutiny faced by Nigerian celebrities over political associations.
