Tottenham sack Thomas Frank after a dismal Premier League run leaves Spurs 16th and five points above the relegation zone
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have sacked head coach Thomas Frank after fewer than eight months in charge, following a dismal run of form that has left the club hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The decision came less than 24 hours after Tottenham’s 2–1 home defeat to Newcastle United, a result that pushed the North London side down to 16th place in the Premier League table, just five points above the bottom three.
Thomas Frank departs having won only 13 of his 38 matches in charge. Tottenham have managed just two victories in their last 17 league games, a stark decline that intensified pressure on the Danish manager.
The defeat to Newcastle also sealed an unwanted record. Thomas Frank leaves with the lowest Premier League win percentage of any Tottenham manager in the competition’s history, at 26.9 per cent.
Tottenham’s hierarchy had publicly backed Thomas Frank in recent weeks, but the club’s slide down the table appears to have forced decisive action amid mounting concern from supporters.
The appointment of Thomas Frank last summer had been viewed as a bold move, with expectations that the former Brentford manager would stabilise and rebuild the squad. Instead, inconsistency and defensive frailties undermined progress, leaving the club facing a critical phase of the season.
