Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has sparked fresh online drama after issuing a stern warning to a social media user who commented about her son following a viral video.
The outburst followed a post shared on January 5, 2026, by X user @TheDamiForeign, also known as Dami Foreign.
The user posted a video clip showing Tiwa dancing energetically in a short fringed dress at a public event attended by children.
In the footage, her 10 year old son, Jamil Balogun, appeared visibly uncomfortable, prompting the caption, “Omo, Why’s tiwa savage son frowning?”
The post quickly gained traction, drawing thousands of views and igniting heated conversations around parenting, public behaviour and celebrity motherhood.
Tiwa Savage responded directly the next day with a sharp warning. In her reply on January 6, 2026, she wrote, “@TheDamiForeign I dare you to post anything about my child again and THIS WILL MOVE BEYOND TWITTER.”

The message immediately drew attention, with many interpreting it as a clear threat to protect her son from public commentary.
The incident comes amid long standing scrutiny of Tiwa’s family life following her 2018 divorce from music executive Tunji “Tee Billz” Balogun.
In 2025, Tee Billz publicly accused Tiwa’s manager, Vanessa Amadi Ogbonna, of overbooking her schedule, claiming it affected Jamil’s emotional wellbeing.
Tiwa has since maintained that she remains fully committed to her son, often sharing moments of their bond with fans.
Reactions to the viral video were divided.
While some praised Tiwa’s confidence and stage presence, others criticised the performance as inappropriate around minors.
Dami Foreign later posted a meme suggesting shock at being singled out, further escalating the online exchange.

The episode once again highlights Tiwa Savage’s zero tolerance for commentary involving her child, reinforcing her reputation for confronting trolls head on whenever her son is dragged into public discourse.
