His death was confirmed on Wednesday through a statement from Turner Enterprises and reported by CNN, marking the end of a career that reshaped global television news and introduced the world’s first 24-hour news channel in 1980.

Beyond CNN, he built a vast media empire that included pioneering cable networks and contributed significantly to the expansion of satellite television broadcasting across the United States.
In addition to his media legacy, Turner was also known for his extensive philanthropic work, including major donations to global humanitarian causes and environmental conservation efforts.
