This initiative is aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality rates by providing comprehensive healthcare services to expectant mothers in Lagos State.

By funding health insurance coverage, the Rotary Club of Lagos is ensuring that these women receive quality prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care.

This support will help improve maternal health outcomes and promote the well-being of both mothers and babies.

Speaking on the initiative, Adetunji Lamidi, President of the Rotary Club of Lagos, stated:

“We are proud to support the health and well-being of these women and their families. Our club is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community, and this initiative is a testament to our commitment to improving maternal health.”

This initiative is expected to have a direct impact on maternal and infant mortality rates by ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare services. By removing financial barriers, expectant mothers can receive regular check-ups, skilled medical attention during delivery, and postnatal care, all of which are critical for safe pregnancies and healthy births.

The Rotary Club of Lagos is collaborating with the Lagos State Health Management Board to execute this initiative.

This partnership underscores the importance of public-private collaboration in strengthening the healthcare system and ensuring that more women have access to lifesaving maternal care.

“We are proud to partner with the Lagos State Health Management Board on this initiative, and we look forward to continuing our work together to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve,” Lamidi added.

This initiative reflects the Rotary Club’s ongoing efforts to uplift vulnerable communities through sustainable healthcare interventions.
