The initiative, powered by Bigi Premium Table Water, aligns with the global theme “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows,” and targets workers exposed to harsh weather conditions daily.

Marking World Water Day, the campaign focused on providing immediate relief through the distribution of chilled water across key locations in the city.

Beneficiaries included sanitation workers, traffic officials, street vendors and transport operators.

The programme also placed strong emphasis on inclusion, with deliberate outreach to female essential workers whose contributions often go unrecognised despite their vital role in urban life.

Public sector personnel were not left out. Officials of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and the Nigeria Police Force were among those reached during the exercise.

Speaking on the initiative, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager Dennis Aideloje said the campaign reflects the company’s commitment to meaningful impact through simple but powerful actions.

2

He noted that access to clean water remains essential to health, dignity and social inclusion.

Building on its previous edition, the campaign reached over 3,000 essential workers across about 12 high-traffic locations in Lagos.

The effort ensured that support was delivered directly to those most affected by heat and demanding work conditions.

Beyond the numbers, the campaign recorded a deeply human impact, with visible appreciation from beneficiaries.

3

Many described the gesture as timely and thoughtful, highlighting the importance of consistent corporate support.

Rite Foods stated that it plans to extend the initiative to other parts of Nigeria, reinforcing its long-term commitment to community wellbeing and sustainable development.
