Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, was arrested on January 11 at his bar in Ota, Ogun State, following allegations from his baby mama, Ashabi Simple.

Ashabi accused the singer of slapping, beating her, seizing phones, and issuing threats during a dispute on January 1.
Videos from the incident showed Portable resisting arrest while citing his superstar status and involvement with the APC, before breaking down emotionally in custody.
The Ogun State Police confirmed his detention and launched an internal investigation into officers allegedly slapping him during the arrest.
Authorities emphasized that mistreatment of suspects will not be tolerated.
Fans have reacted with mixed emotions, with some mocking Portable’s tears and others expressing concern for his safety, particularly given his history of controversial incidents.
