Leo Edochie, the actor’s first son, condemned the viral claim in a video posted on Instagram, describing the information as “a lie from the pit of hell.”

Following the incident, Leo Edochie disclosed in a Facebook post that authorities had been alerted and a reward would be offered for information leading to the individual’s arrest.

Leo Edochie identified the alleged Tiktoker as operating under the handle @ONE_BOR 001.

He urged members of the public to provide actionable leads via direct message, promising a cash reward once the suspect was apprehended.

The Pete Edochie death hoax arrest request underscores growing concern over misinformation on social media platforms.

The family’s swift response seeks to protect the actor’s reputation and prevent further distress among fans and associates.

The actor’s management also reiterated that Pete Edochie remains alive and in good health, dismissing the viral video as entirely false.

Authorities from the DSS are now reportedly tracking the Tiktoker, highlighting an increased enforcement role in tackling digital hoaxes that can incite panic or reputational harm.
