P+ Measurement Services, a Nigerian communications intelligence consultancy led by Chief Media Analyst Philip Odiakose, has marked its 11th anniversary in Lagos with the introduction of its proprietary P+ Reputation Audit™ technology, an upgraded client reporting framework and expanded Media Threat Intelligence services, as the company repositions itself as an Independent Reputation Intelligence and Performance Audit Consultancy.
The milestone, announced on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, also features a corporate rebrand and the unveiling of a redesigned website, reflecting the company’s expanding focus on reputation measurement, stakeholder trust, narrative intelligence and the influence of artificial intelligence on brand visibility.

Established in 2015, P+ Measurement Services has built its operations around independent media intelligence, communications measurement and performance evaluation, helping organisations understand how their public communication activities translate into reputation and business outcomes.
According to the company, it has worked with more than 100 brands and over 30 public relations and media agencies across local and international markets.
Speaking on the anniversary, Odiakose said the company’s original commitment to making media data and intelligence available to communications professionals remained unchanged, although the demands of the industry had evolved considerably.
“When we started P+, our mission was to make media data and intelligence available to PR and communications professionals for data-driven decisions. Eleven years later, that mission has not changed. We pioneered this space in Nigeria, served both locally and globally, more than 100 brands and over 30 PR and media agencies, and built a substantial intelligence base across industries. This rebirth is about advancing the industry we helped establish and building the technology it needs for its next phase,” he said.
At the centre of the transition is P+ Reputation Audit™, an internally developed technology designed to convert the consultancy’s accumulated media and reputation intelligence into more comprehensive analysis and timely audit reports.
The platform draws on what the company describes as a repository containing billions of reputation and media data points, supporting analysis across banking, insurance, telecommunications, fintech, energy, mobility, entertainment, public institutions and faith-based organisations.
By applying artificial intelligence to large datasets, the technology is designed to identify patterns, examine emerging narratives and provide deeper insights into the factors influencing organisational reputation.
However, P+ says the system does not operate without professional supervision.
Human analysts remain responsible for interpreting findings, verifying evidence and reviewing the quality of generated reports, an approach intended to reduce the risk of AI hallucinations and unsupported conclusions.
The new technology represents the consultancy’s second major internally developed intelligence initiative, following the introduction of Africa Reputation Pulse (ARP), its public-interest reputation intelligence infrastructure for African institutions.
Launched in September 2026, ARP extends the company’s independent audit methodology to public institutions, providing access to evidence-based reputation intelligence and institutional assessments.
The platform also examines how African institutions are represented across traditional media, digital conversations and generative AI environments.
Beyond its proprietary technology, P+ is upgrading its client reporting framework to reflect the changing demands of corporate communications and reputation management.
The expanded reporting capabilities cover Narrative Intelligence, Brand Trust and Reputation Intelligence, AI Visibility and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), competitive intelligence beyond traditional Share of Voice measurement, and C-suite Reputation Intelligence.
The company said clients would begin receiving the upgraded reports through their October 2026 reporting cycle.
Rukayat Yusuf, Associate Analyst at P+ Measurement Services, said the reporting improvements were designed to provide communications teams with a clearer understanding of the factors shaping their reputation and the risks emerging around their brands.
“The reporting upgrade reflects the technical and analytical demands of the current communications environment. Teams need to understand not only how much coverage they receive, but what shapes their reputation, where risks are emerging and how their visibility translates into meaningful intelligence. Our work is designed to make those answers clearer and more useful,” Yusuf said.
Another significant development is the expansion of Media Threat Intelligence, a near-real-time monitoring and alert service designed to identify potentially damaging brand mentions, emerging issues and relevant regulatory concerns.
The service delivers human-reviewed alerts through WhatsApp, allowing organisations to receive information about developing reputation threats and assess the appropriate response before an issue escalates.
Its detection process uses artificial intelligence to identify potential warning signals, while analysts assess the information, filter irrelevant mentions and provide guidance based on the significance of each development.
P+ said the service operates under its Restraint Doctrine™, an internal operating principle that prioritises evidence, context and human oversight rather than allowing speed to compromise analytical accuracy.
Olufunke Mohammed, Executive Director of Operations at P+ Measurement Services, said the company’s approach was built around combining technological efficiency with professional judgement.
“Technology must make our work more effective without removing the human judgment that gives intelligence its value. Our human-led, AI-driven approach keeps professional scrutiny central to analysis, helping us deliver timely insights while maintaining discipline and accountability,” Mohammed said.
The consultancy’s rebrand also reflects a broader shift in the communications industry, where conventional media monitoring is increasingly being complemented by analysis of online narratives, stakeholder sentiment, search visibility and the information generated by artificial intelligence systems.
For organisations, this means understanding reputation now requires more than measuring the volume of media coverage or calculating how frequently a brand appears in news reports.
The growing use of AI-powered search and generative platforms has introduced another dimension to brand visibility, making it increasingly important for businesses to understand how their identities, products and leadership are represented across emerging digital information environments.
P+ is positioning its expanded services to address these developments through independent audits, competitive intelligence, narrative analysis and executive reputation assessments.
The company also continues to invest in professional development and industry education through its quarterly industry analyses and EvaluatePR, its practitioner education programme, which it says has operated consistently for eight years.
Its redesigned website, www.pplusmeasurement.com.ng, is expected to provide organisations with clearer access to its expanded services and intelligence offerings.
As P+ enters its next phase, the anniversary represents both a reflection on its contribution to Nigeria’s communications measurement industry and an effort to respond to the changing demands of reputation management.
With its new technology and expanded services, the consultancy is seeking to strengthen the role of independent, evidence-based intelligence in helping organisations understand, protect and improve their reputations.
