The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, with visiting Justice E.O. Osinuga from the Ogun State High Court in Abeokuta, has successfully prosecuted and sentenced fourteen individuals involved in internet fraud. The convictions were handed down by various justices, including Ladiran Akintola, O.A. Lajide, Bayo Taiwo, M.O. Ishola, and Justice E.O. Osinuga, following guilty pleas from the defendants.

Arraigned by the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) between February 23 and March 5, 2024, the convicted individuals faced separate charges related to internet fraud. Among them are Olajide Oluwadare Samuel, Emmanuel Victor Oluwasegun, Ajibola Najeeb Ayomide, and others.

This decisive action by the court underscores the commitment to combatting cybercrime and ensuring that perpetrators face the consequences of their actions. It reflects the collaborative effort between the Oyo and Ogun High Courts and the EFCC in maintaining law and order in the state and beyond.
