Olaleye, who represented a constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2019 during the administration of late former governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was said to have openly expressed frustration over the outcome of the APC primary.
Eyewitnesses said the former lawmaker was first seen at the APC secretariat in Oke Ado before later appearing near the residence of former Oyo State governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
According to witnesses, Olaleye stood through the open roof of a moving vehicle while ringing a church bell as he moved through parts of the city.
Sources at the scene claimed the former legislator appeared visibly emotional and repeatedly criticised the APC and Senator Sharafadeen Alli over the conduct and outcome of the primary election.
The development drew attention from residents and party supporters, with videos and eyewitness accounts circulating across social media platforms on Wednesday evening.
Details surrounding the specific constituency contest and the final outcome of the primary election were still emerging as of press time.
Neither the APC leadership in Oyo State nor Senator Sharafadeen Alli had officially reacted to the incident.
