Osun Business School (OBS), founded by Dr. Adegboyega Musthofa Adebayo, was officially inaugurated in Osun State, Nigeria, on October 5, 2026, with a strong call for a strategic public-private partnership to accelerate human capital development and enterprise growth.
The Osun Business School Launch PPP initiative took centre stage at the inaugural symposium, where Dr. Adegboyega Musthofa Adebayo described the institution as a bold response to the widening gap between academic business education and real-world enterprise demands.

“This is more than the opening of another institution,” Dr. Adegboyega Musthofa Adebayo said, adding that the school is designed to produce “business thinkers, enterprise builders, responsible leaders, innovators and employers of labour.”

Osun Business School is positioned as an executive and entrepreneurship-focused institution targeting business owners, professionals, public-sector leaders and emerging entrepreneurs.
Its programmes combine academic learning with practical exposure, mentorship and access to investment networks.

Built on the philosophy “Learn. Grow. Connect.”, the school aims to deliver a transformative and practical learning experience that extends beyond certification to measurable business outcomes.
The Osun Business School Launch PPP proposal includes collaboration areas such as MSME development, youth and women entrepreneurship, business incubation, financial literacy, digital enterprise and job creation.

Under the model, government is expected to provide policy support and institutional access, while the school contributes private-sector expertise and training infrastructure.
Dr. Adegboyega Musthofa Adebayo stressed the importance of measurable impact, noting that the goal is to see entrepreneurs return to their businesses with improved strategies, stronger financial systems and the capacity to scale sustainably.

“We want to move beyond training people for the sake of training,” he said, emphasising outcomes such as investment-ready businesses and increased employment generation.
The launch comes at a time when digital transformation, artificial intelligence and financial technology are reshaping economies globally.

Dr. Adegboyega Musthofa Adebayo warned that Osun State must act decisively to remain competitive within this rapidly evolving landscape.
He also extended invitations to financial institutions, corporate organisations, development partners and international bodies to collaborate with the school, positioning it as a future hub for executive education and enterprise development in the region.

Participants in the inaugural cohort were encouraged to take ownership of the institution’s vision. “You are the first generation of OBS alumni,” he said, noting that they would play a defining role in shaping the school’s legacy.
