Nigerian singer Omah Lay has sparked widespread reactions after sharing a cryptic post in which he reflected on spirituality, creation, and his perceived connection to God.

Omah Lay made the comments in an Instagram story, where he expressed belief in a creator, the universe, and himself, adding that he sees a deep spiritual link between humanity and divinity.

The singer suggested that while he may not literally be God, he believes he shares a unified essence with the divine. He described the world as a form of art being shaped continuously by its creator.

“I believe in the creator and the universe, I believe in myself… mostly in myself because I believe that I am God. I believe that God is me,” Omah Lay wrote, adding that he sees himself as part of a larger creative design.

The Omah Lay God belief post quickly drew attention online, with fans divided over the interpretation of his words, as some viewed it as artistic expression while others questioned its spiritual implications.

The singer further suggested that creativity itself is evidence of a divine presence within individuals, stating that God may have placed a “piece of Himself” in people capable of creation.

The latest remarks add to a series of introspective and often controversial statements from the artist, who has previously spoken openly about his struggles with mental health, the pressures of fame, and disillusionment with aspects of the music industry.

In earlier reflections, Omah Lay has expressed frustration with contracts and industry structures, while also sharing philosophical and emotional messages that frequently stir debate among fans.
