NYSC begins physical verification for foreign-trained graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ service year, holding nationwide from Nov 10–12

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced the physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates who registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year.

The exercise, which began today, Monday, November 10, will run through Wednesday, November 12, 2025, across designated centres nationwide, according to an official statement from NYSC Management.

The announcement, titled “Notification of Physical Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents of Foreign-Trained Graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year”, was also shared on the agency’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday night.

The NYSC listed the centres for the exercise as follows:

perfect aesthetic dental clinic perfect aesthetic dental clinic perfect aesthetic dental clinic
  1.  NYSC Secretariat, 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu
  2.  Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi
  3. NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja
  4. Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano
  5. NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
  6. NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osogbo
  7.  NYSC Secretariat, 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt
  8.  Eagle Officers Mess, Gingiya Military Barracks, Gusau Road, Sokoto
  9.  NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola

The Corps directed all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to report strictly on the date, time, and venue specified on their verification slips to maintain order and avoid overcrowding.

Participants must present the original copies of all credentials and travel documents uploaded during online registration.

For medical graduates, NYSC directed that they must also upload and present licences, registration certificates, and other relevant documents issued by their professional bodies.

Those who obtained their qualifications abroad and required official recognition must submit the original copies of Evaluation Letters from the Federal Ministry of Education at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, and upload acknowledged copies online.

Emphasising the importance of the exercise, the NYSC stated that:

“Only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service.”

The Corps urged all affected graduates to comply strictly with the verification schedule and appear at their designated centres as required.

The NYSC had earlier extended the online registration deadline for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation by 48 hours following network disruptions reported by some prospective corps members.

The extended registration period is expected to close by midnight on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

The verification exercise is part of NYSC’s ongoing effort to curb certificate forgery and degree fraud, following persistent reports of degree mills overseas issuing unaccredited or fake qualifications.

The process ensures that only genuine foreign-trained graduates are mobilised, exempted, or excluded from the National Service programme.
