The incident was highlighted on social media, with one user reporting that robbers tried to open a car door along the busy corridor despite the presence of two nearby police stations.

Reacting to the alarming report, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the Commissioner of Police has directed the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer, and the Tactical Team to intensify patrols and clamp down on criminal activity along the corridor.

“The Command is fully committed to securing lives and property,” SP Adebisi said, adding that no area will be left unmonitored, particularly those with recurring criminal activities.
