Limoblaze shared the revelation on X while responding to a trending prompt asking users to state a story that sounds fabricated but is entirely true within the music industry.
“I showed Omah Lay how to do his first upload of his music to streaming platforms and I was hoping to gradually influence him into making Jesus music. I never give up,” he wrote.
The statement quickly gained attention, given Omah Lay’s meteoric rise in Afrobeats and global music circles.
Clarifying the context, Limoblaze insisted there was no hidden drama behind the disclosure.
He explained that both artistes were close friends at the time and that he recognised Omah Lay’s exceptional talent early on.
“We were boys. I always thought he was a special talent and told him I was sure he was going to blow up and did my best to support him. I was right because he blew up,” he added.
Beyond the Limoblaze Omah Lay early career revelation, the gospel singer also highlighted his long-standing ties within the Nigerian music industry.
He disclosed that he grew up alongside CKay, remains close friends with Johnny Drille, and once lived briefly in the home of Skales.
Limoblaze further revealed that he had a respectful conversation about faith with rapper Blaqbonez and described R&B star Banky W as family.
