The Lagos West Solidarity Forum has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership in restoring peace and stability in Lagos State following the reappointment of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, Chief Kunle Familola (KOB), Convener of the Lagos West Solidarity Forum, praised President Tinubu for heeding the voice of reason and restoring hope in Lagos State. He also lauded Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) for their decisive role in resolving the crisis that polarized the Assembly after Obasa’s impeachment.

“Their intervention has not only restored unity but has also reinforced the strength of our democratic institutions. We deeply appreciate their efforts in ensuring that Lagos State remains a beacon of political stability,” Familola stated.

With the crisis now settled, the forum called on all parties to put aside their differences and work together ahead of the 2027 elections, particularly President Tinubu’s reelection bid. “Obasa remains a key figure in this journey, and it is crucial that the ‘House’ stays united to guarantee success for all,” Familola emphasized.
