In a statement from his media office, Dr Obasa urged Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to pray for the country and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging the President’s transformative efforts in nation-building. He encouraged citizens to uphold the festival’s values of forgiveness, compassion, charity, and patience beyond the celebrations.

“As we celebrate with excitement and enthusiasm, let us remember that Eid al-Fitr is a moment of thanksgiving, joy, and spiritual renewal. Importantly, let us hold on to the spirits of love, tolerance, kindness, and compassion that we learnt in the holy month,” Obasa stated.

The Speaker reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, expressing confidence in the President’s visionary leadership to guide Nigeria towards economic and social stability.

“In President Tinubu, we have a leader committed to progress, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence. All we need to do is support and pray for him. I do not doubt that his Renewed Hope blueprint will guide Nigeria back to the right path,” he added.
