The Kogi State Police have arrested Jeremiah Samson, 20, for killing and dismembering a 19-year-old girl for alleged ritual purposes. The victim, Damilola, was kidnapped, ransomed, and murdered.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Jeremiah Samson, a 20-year-old, for killing and dismembering 19-year-old Damilola, allegedly for ritual purposes.
The arrest occurred in Lokoja, and Samson is under investigation. Earlier, Samson had kidnapped Damilola, a student from the Federal University, Lokoja, and extorted N400,000 from her parents.

After collecting the ransom, Samson strangled Damilola, dismembered her body, and buried her in a shallow grave.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, revealed that Samson confessed to being instructed by a Facebook herbalist known as Arab Money.
Two bodies were discovered at the crime scene; one had decayed, and Damilola’s body was exhumed. The suspect, from Kaduna South, will face court charges once the investigation concludes.
