Review of Agaba Romantic by Joeboy and Wizard Chan highlights a 7-track EP blending romance, culture, and genre fusion

The collaborative EP Agaba Romantic by Joeboy and Wizard Chan presents a rich fusion of Afrobeats, folk, reggae, and cultural storytelling, reflecting a strong artistic synergy between both musicians.

The project builds on earlier collaborations between the two artists, including their work on Loner (Alone) and Heal, which helped establish a creative connection that led to this joint EP.

One standout moment is Lazarus, which blends cultural rhythm with mainstream appeal, showcasing the duo’s ability to merge traditional and contemporary styles.

The highlife-inspired 100 Meters adds a romantic, upbeat layer to the project, highlighting playful songwriting and Afropop melodies.

On Woman, the artists incorporate a Konto bounce rhythm while referencing classic reggae influences, adding depth to the album’s romantic narrative.

The EP also features a guest appearance from Qing Madi on Love, Sick, Crazy, further expanding its emotional and sonic range.
