Three Lagos men, Adeyinka Basit, 21, Joseph Peter, 18, and Makinde Oluwasunkanmi, 20, were arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday, August 28, 2026, over the alleged theft of iPhone-grade screens valued at N10 million.

The defendants are facing three counts bordering on conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen property following allegations that the phone screens were taken from Fixall Perfect.

Police prosecutor Josephine Ikhayere told the court that the alleged offences occurred on July 18 at No. 1 Adepele Street, off Medical Road, Ikeja.

Ikhayere alleged that the three men stole the iPhone-grade screens, which belonged to Fixall Perfect, and dishonestly converted the items to their personal use.

The prosecutor further alleged that the defendants received the stolen screens while knowing that the property had been unlawfully obtained.

The charges were brought under Sections 287, 328 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

All three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Following their pleas, Magistrate Lateef Owolabi granted each defendant bail of N500,000.

The court also ordered each defendant to provide two sureties in the same amount.

The sureties must provide evidence of registration as Lagos State residents, while their residential addresses are to be verified as part of the bail conditions.

The case has been adjourned until September 29, 2026, for further proceedings.

The allegations have not been established in court, and the defendants remain presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The case adds to a series of recent police and court proceedings involving alleged theft and property-related offences in Lagos, as authorities continue to pursue cases involving valuable goods and commercial property.
