Former Senator Mudashiru Husain has praised President Tinubu for fully repaying Nigeria’s IMF loan, commending his economic reforms and fiscal discipline

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he former lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Mudashiru Husain has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the total repayment of main loan facility to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He described the decisive step of the President as a credence to his Midas Touch with which he had been turning around the dynamics of governance and leadership, noting that such step reflects his ongoing bold reforms in repositioning the nation’s economic and financial landscape.

Addressing the journalists, the former federal commissioner, National Population Commission reiterated that the milestone achievement shows the president’s unflinching commitment to fiscal responsibility and economic prudence which would go a long in bolstering the nation’s creditworthiness and investors’ confidence.

“This action of the President portends his administration’s dedication to protecting Nigeria’s economic interest and boosting the country’s reputation in the global financial community, while also saving the nation from potential debt trap”, he noted.

Senator Husain further commended the sundry bold and strategic decisions of the president ranging from fuel subsidy removal to forex unification, tax reforms and the debt servicing, which are collectively repositioning the country for sustainable socioeconomic development.

“While we must acknowledge the visionary leadership of the president as a beacon of hope for our economic future, it’s imperative we support his renewed hope agenda with a view to building a more resilient and prosperous economy,” he concluded.
