Fast rising sensational Afro Pop artist GNEWZ shares his musical journey experience and plans for his career in an exclusive interview with Titilope Oshunlalu recently in Lagos.
Can we meet you?
My name is Goodnews Emuemu, from Oleh town in Delta State, Isoko to be precise, but popularly known as GNEWZ. I am currently an artiste on Black & Beautiful Africa Entertainment, a record label based in Lagos.
What inspired you into music?
My dad was a musician.
Who inspired you to make music?
My cousin brother who is a music producer, Mr. Omogbolu Israel Akpo A.K.A IZZY BEATS inspired me to make music.
How would you describe the music you typically create?
I will describe my music as elevating, encouraging, uniting, and emotionally uplifting.
What is your creative process like?
I will say my creativity is from life, marital homes,failures and achievements.
Who would you most likely love to collaborate with?
Actually it is a very long list but to mention a few; 2baba, Kizz Daniel, Davido, Wizkid, Tems, Reekado Banks, Burna Boy and Fire Boy.
If you could go open a show for an artist who would it be?
Davido and Burna Boy.

Do you sing in the shower and what song?
Yes, I do and the song is Energy by Fireboy
If not music, what else will you do?
Music, music and only music I will do and will always do; nothing else.

Where and what are your favorite and least venues?
Eko Hotels, O2 Arena, 02 Indigo, Hard Rock Café are my favorite and my least favorite are secondary school graduation party.
Any upcoming show?
Yes, Miss Liberty Nigeria 2020, a beauty pageant event produced by Eletu Concepts and powered by Tinadels Promotions & Awards Organization coming up on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Bespoke Event Center, Lekki, Lagos.
Has social media platforms impacted music?
Social media has really impacted music because it’s the quickest means of reaching out to other parts of the world at a click of a button.
Any favorite song to perform?
One of my singles, titled “Necessary”. It was produced by C Major.

Chris Brown
Any terrible experience you have ever gotten Into?
I can never forget the day my car breakdown on a highway.
What is the best advise you have ever received?
Humility and focus on my dreams.
If you could change anything about the entertainment Industry, what would you change?
I will change tribalism, nepotism and politics.
