Ijegun Teen Stabbing: Lagos police arrest woman accused of attacking a 16-year-old boy as victim receives hospital treatment

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman allegedly involved in an Ijegun Teen Stabbing incident in Amosu Street, Ijegun, Alimosho Local Government Area, where a 16-year-old boy was reportedly attacked multiple times on Thursday evening.

The command confirmed that the suspect is currently in police custody while the injured teenager is receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

Images shared on X by user Febechi showed visible injuries on the victim, including cuts on the right side of his face and deep wounds on his chest and forearm.

According to accounts shared online, the confrontation reportedly began after the teenager attempted to caution the suspect’s child who had been playing outside for an extended period.

The situation allegedly escalated when the woman attacked the boy and later injured his mother during the dispute.

The Lagos State Police Command stated that officers engaged with the complainants online and advised them to report formally at the nearest police station, after which the suspect was apprehended.

“The post was engaged, and they were advised to report at the nearest police station, which they did. The boy is receiving treatment at the hospital, and the suspect is presently in police custody,” the police said in a statement.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency also responded to the initial social media alert, requesting further details through direct communication, although official comments from the agency were not available at the time of filing this report.

Family members of the victim indicated their intention to pursue justice through lawful channels, expressing concern over the severity of the attack and the possibility of further escalation without swift intervention.
