Nigerian man Alabaster posted a video on social media in which he alleged that his wife Omolola slept with his best friend Ikechukwu on their wedding day and subsequently attempted to end his life on the journey home.
The recording, which quickly circulated widely, presents Alabaster’s personal account of events that began during their university years.

Alabaster states that he met Omolola in 2022 during his final year at university. She assisted him financially with project expenses and the couple later formalised their relationship.
He introduced her to Ikechukwu, a close friend from the same high school and university department.
According to Alabaster, an intimate relationship developed between Omolola and Ikechukwu while the pair continued their own engagement.
Wedding plans advanced without his knowledge of the earlier connection, and Omolola was introduced to his mother, who approved of the match.
On the wedding day itself, after the church ceremony, Alabaster says preparations for the reception were disrupted by prolonged delays.
Omolola arrived much later than expected and attributed the absence to severe menstrual pain, during which she did not answer calls.
Ikechukwu was also delayed while collecting palm wine for the event. Guests gradually left, and the reception was effectively abandoned. Alabaster later questioned whether the explanations were coordinated.
He further claims that, on the way home, Omolola tried to kill him, though he provides no further detail on the method or circumstances in the available recording.
In the video Alabaster says, “This video is to help someone out there avoid making the same mistakes I made. I’m heartbroken and angry.” He adds that loved ones can become enemies without warning and urges viewers to remain cautious.
The account remains entirely one-sided. Neither Omolola nor Ikechukwu has issued a public response, and no police report, medical record or independent witness statement has been identified in connection with the claims.
Such personal testimonies frequently gain rapid traction on Nigerian social media platforms, where stories of marital betrayal involving close friends have appeared before.
In the absence of corroborating evidence, the present allegations rest solely on Alabaster’s narration.
The video has prompted online discussion about trust within marriages and friendships, with some viewers expressing sympathy and others cautioning against accepting unverified personal accounts at face value.

Alabaster concludes the recording by expressing hope that sharing his experience will spare others similar pain. The story continues to circulate without further official clarification.
