Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has won his polling unit in Isuofia, securing 417 votes against his rivals in the governorship election
Governor Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the Anambra State governorship election, has won his polling unit by a landslide in Isuofia, his hometown in Aguata Local Government Area.

At Polling Unit 002, Umuezeadigo Street, Soludo polled 417 votes, leaving his closest rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, far behind with just four votes, while the Accord Party candidate managed one vote.
Out of the 430 accredited voters, eight votes were declared invalid by the Presiding Officer, Miss Obiorah Anwulike, who officially announced the result at 5:30 p.m.
The decisive win at his polling unit reinforces Soludo’s strong grassroots support in Aguata, a key area often seen as a political stronghold for the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Observers at the polling centre described the exercise as peaceful and orderly, with voters commending the seamless conduct of the election and the prompt counting of ballots.

Soludo’s impressive performance at his home unit has set an optimistic tone for APGA supporters as collation continues across the state.
