Gbenga Daniel Midterm Review

Gbenga Daniel Midterm Review spotlights inclusive development, solid minerals revival, and Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in Ijebu East

Gbenga Daniel Midterm Review marked a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to grassroots development as Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East Senatorial District, addressed constituents during the BATOGD Midterm Community Assessment and Review (MIDCAR) tour in Ijebu East on Sunday, 12 October 2025.

The event, held under an atmosphere of optimism, was part of Daniel’s wider district-wide initiative aimed at assessing governance impact, deepening community engagement, and reinforcing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Daniel emphasised that the Gbenga Daniel Midterm Review was not merely a political rally but a feedback-driven process designed to reconnect governance with the people.

He said the initiative demonstrates accountability and transparency—values that lie at the heart of effective representation.

Reflecting on the rich natural endowment of Ijebu East, the former Ogun State Governor lamented the underutilisation of the area’s vast bitumen deposits, which he described as the largest in Nigeria.

He recalled his administration’s vision to establish a new industrial hub driven by bitumen exploration and processing to create jobs and stimulate economic growth.

Daniel expressed confidence that this vision would soon be realised, citing renewed federal interest in the solid minerals sector.

“Under President Tinubu’s leadership, the sector’s revenue has grown from ₦6 billion to ₦38 billion in one year,” he said, lauding Minister Dele Alake’s commitment to local processing and value addition as game-changing policies.

He reaffirmed that his representation has remained people-focused, highlighting various grassroots interventions, including the installation of a solar-powered borehole in Igbaga, Ijebu-Imushin, and empowerment programmes that have benefited thousands across the senatorial district.

Over 4,000 residents, Daniel revealed, have received free eye-care services, surgeries, and glasses through his community health initiative.

He described these efforts as proof of his belief that true development must be inclusive, people-driven, and sustainable.

The Gbenga Daniel Midterm Review further underscored his vision to transform Ijebu East into a beacon of Nigeria’s industrial renaissance through bitumen exploration.

“With support from the Federal Government and continued stakeholder engagement, we will turn our God-given resources into lasting prosperity,” he assured.

As the MIDCAR tour continues across Ogun East, Daniel’s message remains clear—renewed hope, inclusive growth, and tangible progress for every community.
