Afrobeat star Destiny Boy dies at 22. The Nigerian singer rose to fame with a Fuji cover of Davido’s hit song “If.”
Popular Nigerian Afrobeat artist Afeez Adeshina, widely known as Destiny Boy, has died at the age of 22.

The news was confirmed on Sunday after a video reportedly showing his lifeless body circulated on social media, sparking widespread shock among fans and the music community.
According to reports, Destiny Boy’s body is being transported to Abeokuta, Ogun State, for burial.
Destiny Boy rose to prominence in 2019 following his Fuji-style cover of Davido’s hit song “If,” which earned him national recognition.
He had recently announced the birth of his first child on Instagram in November 2024.
