Davido lifestyle change reflects a shift from nightlife to family life, rest and studio time, the Afrobeats star says

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has revealed a decisive shift away from the high energy party lifestyle that once defined his early years, saying maturity, family life and rest now take priority.

Davido made the remarks during an interview on The LongForm Podcast on YouTube, shared on Monday, where he reflected on how fame, money and influence at a young age drew him into an intense nightlife culture.

The singer recalled that clubbing was once a daily routine, describing how freedom and power at a young age shaped his behaviour during the peak of his rise in the music industry.

Davido said those days are firmly behind him, noting that his idea of fun has changed dramatically, even during extended stays in Nigeria.

He revealed that he recently spent nearly two months in the country without stepping out socially, choosing instead to remain at home.

According to Davido, his current routine centres on quiet time, studio work and relaxed gatherings with close friends.

He described casual barbecues, studio sessions and unwinding at home as his new version of enjoyment.

The award winning artiste added that family now sits at the heart of his daily life, characterising his lifestyle as calm and “boring” but deeply fulfilling.

He said returning home to his wife and prioritising rest has become non negotiable.

Despite the shift, Davido clarified that his calmer personal life does not affect his professional energy.

He said he still becomes fully active when it is time to record music, perform or take the stage.

Davido explained that outside work commitments, he now values sleep and recovery, describing rest as a luxury he eagerly embraces whenever possible.

The Davido lifestyle change highlights a broader narrative of growth, balance and longevity as one of Africa’s most influential music stars adjusts to life beyond the spotlight.
