The celebrity chef attended the ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena alongside Davido, his elder sister Sharon Adeleke and members of his management team, as the singer was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category.

While South African singer Tyla ultimately claimed the award, attention quickly shifted online to Chioma’s appearance on the red carpet.

Chioma wore a sheer, form-fitting dress that marked a striking departure from her typically conservative public style, triggering widespread discussion across Nigerian social media platforms.

After the event, she shared photographs of the look on her Instagram page, drawing thousands of reactions within hours.

Among the comments was a warning from a female follower, who advised Chioma not to repeat the outfit choice in the future, despite acknowledging Davido’s apparent approval.

Chioma responded directly with a blunt five-word message: “I will wear it again.”

The brief reply quickly went viral, fuelling further debate and earning praise from supporters who described her response as confident and unapologetic.

Many fans defended her right to personal expression, noting that she attended the event with her husband’s support and consent.

The Chioma Grammy outfit backlash has since become one of the most talked-about moments surrounding Nigeria’s presence at this year’s awards, highlighting the ongoing scrutiny faced by high-profile women over fashion choices.

Chioma has not issued any further comment beyond her initial response, allowing the message to stand on its own.
