Nigerian skit maker Carter Efe said Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, privately contacted him and told him never to insult fellow singer Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, again.
Carter Efe spoke while addressing speculation that Davido had been encouraging his repeated online comments about Wizkid. According to Carter Efe, the opposite happened.

“Davido texted me and told me never to insult Wizkid again. People think he’s the one sending me to insult Wizkid,” Carter Efe said.
The claim quickly drew comment online. Some users praised Davido for stepping in. Others said Carter Efe mentions Wizkid too often. Several people asked him to show the message.
