The President of the Senate has promptly referred the bill to the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND for further deliberation and scrutiny.

The acceptance of the bill was a unanimous decision by the Senate, with notable senators expressing their support.

Former Governor and Senator Adams Oshiomole, former Governor and Senator Aminu Tambwal, Senator Titud Zam of Benue North West, Senator Osita Izunaso, and Senator Fadahunsi all spoke in favor of the bill. Additionally, the Senate President himself voiced his support for this significant initiative.

This development has sparked joy and gratitude among the people of Ilara Remo, represented by the Ilara Remo Development Association. They express deep appreciation to Senator Gbenga Daniel for championing the cause and putting Ilara Remo on the map with the establishment of the Federal College of Aviation Technology in their town.

The association, in a letter co-signed by its chairman and secretary, highlighted the foresight of the late king, Oba Solomon Salau Adekoya, who bestowed upon Senator Gbenga Daniel the special title of Kiniun of Ilara Remo. The letter notes that the late king believed in Senator Daniel’s lionhearted commitment to bringing positive change to Ilara Remo.

“Long before now, we were told by our father, Late Oba Solomon Salau Adekoya, that many good deeds would come forth from you to Ilara Remo Community. He attached so much honour to your title that he warned us not to ever take you for granted. He saw the lion heart in you and he believed that you will make a bold move to assist us in Ilara Remo in the nearest future,” the letter which was co-signed by the chairman and secretary read in part.

This groundbreaking move to establish a Federal College of Aviation Technology in Ilara Remo is seen as a testament to Senator Gbenga Daniel’s dedication to the progress and development of his community.

The Ilara Remo Development Association looks forward to the positive impact this institution will have on the town and expresses profound gratitude for Senator Daniel’s unwavering commitment.
