Blord impersonation charges lead to remand at Kuje prison after Abuja court arraignment on forgery and impersonation allegations

Celebrity Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges related to impersonation and forgery.

Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, appeared in court on Thursday, April 1, 2026, where he was formally charged on multiple counts.

The court subsequently ordered his remand pending further proceedings, a development that has drawn significant public attention given his profile in Nigeria’s digital finance space.

The case centres on allegations that Blord impersonated social media personality Martins Vincent Otse in connection with promotional claims and business representations.

Following the court proceedings, Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, shared a video on Instagram confirming the remand and providing details of the allegations.

In the post, he alleged that Linus Williams Ifejirika made false claims involving forged flight tickets, unauthorised use of his image, and assertions of paid brand ambassadorship without consent.

According to Martins Vincent Otse, the disputed claims included statements that he had been paid a substantial sum and had endorsed certain applications, allegations he strongly denied.

The controversy has sparked widespread discussion online, particularly due to the nature of the accusations involving identity misuse and public representation.

Legal observers note that impersonation and forgery charges, if proven, can carry serious consequences under Nigerian law.

Linus Williams Ifejirika is expected to remain in custody for the duration specified by the court as proceedings continue. The matter is set to return to court at a later date for further hearing.
