Bigi, Fearless bring vibrant music experience to YABATECH

Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink and Fearless Energy Drink, leading brands from Rite Foods Limited, are set to bring music, talent discovery and entertainment to Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, Lagos, from September 15 will take centre stage during the Bigi Music Competition, where emerging talents will have the to 17, 2026, through Soundcity OnTour.

The three-day campus engagement will place students at the centre of a lively programme designed to combine entertainment with opportunities for participation, creativity and self-expression.

The experience will begin with campus activations aimed at building anticipation ahead of the main events.

On the second day, aspiring musicians will take centre stage during the Bigi Music Competition, where emerging talents will have the opportunity to perform before a wider audience.

One standout performer will emerge as the YABATECH campus winner and receive a ₦1 million prize. The winner will also progress to the national stage, where further exposure and development opportunities await.

The programme will also showcase dance talent through the Fearless Dance Challenge, giving students an opportunity to compete, entertain their peers and demonstrate their creativity.

Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, said the brands were intentionally creating platforms that connect with the ambitions of young Nigerians.

“Young people are not waiting for culture to happen; they are creating it every day,” Eze said.

He added that Bigi and Fearless were seeking to provide platforms where young people could express themselves, discover their abilities and connect with opportunities beyond their immediate environment.

The final day will bring the engagement to its climax with the Soundcity OnTour concert, featuring music, performances and entertainment for students across the institution.

The YABATECH activation forms part of the brands’ wider campus entertainment strategy, with the focus extending beyond a conventional concert to include talent discovery and direct student participation.

For aspiring performers, the event offers a potentially valuable platform to turn campus creativity into wider exposure, while audiences can expect a colourful three-day celebration of music, dance and youthful expression.
