FC Barcelona delivered a commanding performance at Camp Nou as head coach Hansi Flick’s side swept aside Feyenoord 5-1 in their UEFA Champions League opener, with Brazilian forward Raphinha leading the charge in a clinical display.

Raphinha set the tone inside three minutes, weaving past defenders before calmly finishing to give Barcelona an early advantage.
The forward, now operating centrally following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, continued his remarkable form, taking his tally to eight goals in five matches across all competitions.
Karim Adeyemi, making his presence felt as one of the club’s new arrivals, doubled the lead with a stunning long range effort that curled beyond goalkeeper Tjark Ernst.

Feyenoord managed a consolation through Sem Steijn after a well worked move, offering a brief glimpse of resistance.
However, substitute Gabriel Jesus, another newcomer, sealed the emphatic victory with a composed header, marking his first goal since arriving from Arsenal in the summer.
Speaking after the match, Raphinha emphasised the team’s approach and ambition.
“Playing in front of our fans we always have to show perfect football, or nearly perfect, and with the support of the fans it is a lot easier,” he said.
The result underlines Barcelona’s explosive start to the campaign, with five wins from five matches and a consistent goal scoring run that has seen them net five goals in four of those fixtures.
Historically, Barcelona last lifted the Champions League trophy in 2015, and recent seasons have been marked by inconsistency and rebuilding phases.
However, the early signs under Hansi Flick suggest a revitalised squad capable of competing at the highest level once again.
