It was a lively and celebratory moment in Lagos on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, as Nigerian actor Lateef Adedimeji, popularly known for his “Baba Eta” persona, personally rewarded the first 10 winners of the Baba Eta Challenge hosted on the DusDus creators’ platform.
The Baba Eta Challenge winners rewarded event took place at the DusDus office in Lagos, where the Nollywood star met participants, representatives of the platform, and excited creators who had distinguished themselves in the digital competition.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as winners received their prizes directly from the actor, adding a personal touch to the campaign’s finale.
Coker Oluwarantimi emerged as the overall winner, receiving a cash prize of ₦1 million, while Ajewole Ayomide and other top participants received ₦200,000 each for their creative entries.
The challenge, built around Adedimeji’s widely recognised “Baba Eta” character, leveraged his popularity to drive engagement across digital audiences, encouraging fans to participate in a fun and interactive content competition.
The initiative highlighted the growing influence of creator-led campaigns in Nigeria’s entertainment and digital ecosystem.
Rather than delegating the presentation, Adedimeji chose to personally hand over the rewards, a decision that transformed the prize-giving into an intimate and emotional celebration of creativity and audience participation.
Speaking briefly during the presentation, Lateef Adedimeji described the initiative as a meaningful way of connecting with his audience. “It is always a joy to see creativity rewarded.
This challenge shows how far we can go when we create together,” he said.
For many winners, the highlight was not only the financial reward but also the opportunity to meet the actor in person, turning what began as an online engagement into a memorable real-life experience.
A representative of DusDus noted that the platform is committed to empowering young creators through structured challenges that reward originality and consistency, adding that collaborations with public figures help expand opportunities for emerging talents.
The Baba Eta Challenge winners rewarded moment also reflects a broader shift in Nigeria’s entertainment space, where social media campaigns, influencer-led competitions and digital platforms are becoming key drivers of audience engagement and content monetisation.
DusDus, an entertainment and creators’ contest platform, continues to position itself as a space where young Nigerians can create, share and earn rewards through video-based challenges.
