Adekunle Kosoko confirmed the development on Wednesday through a post on Snapchat, where he described the birth as a double blessing.

The couple have not yet disclosed the gender of the newborns, but the announcement triggered a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, fellow artistes and figures across Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Speculation about the pregnancy had intensified in December when Simisola Kosoko shared a video on Instagram showing a visible baby bump, accompanied by a caption suggesting that another child was on the way.

Public excitement was further fuelled when Simisola Kosoko highlighted a scene from Adekunle Kosoko’s recently released music video, My Love Is the Same, just weeks before the announcement.

Adekunle Gold and Simi, who married in 2019 after years of friendship and creative collaboration, are widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples.

Both singers were previously signed to X3M Music before achieving independent commercial success and critical acclaim.

The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, known as Deja, in May 2020.
