The music icon made the candid disclosure during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, where he reflected on his personal life and approach to parenting.

2Baba said he now desires to be more present in the lives of his children and to make more meaningful contributions to their upbringing.

“I want to really contribute to society positively and make meaningful impact. I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” he said.

The singer, who has eight children from different relationships, stressed the importance of a father figure while also maintaining that certain aspects of his family life should remain out of the public eye.

He expressed a renewed commitment to improving his role as a parent moving forward, describing the decision as part of a broader desire to make a positive impact beyond music.
