United Bank for Africa (UBA) unveils ambitious 75-year vision to expand to over 100 countries and serve over one billion customers globally, solidifying its position as a leading African institution

[dropcap]U[/dropcap]nited Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced a bold 75-year vision to extend its footprint to over 100 countries across the globe and significantly grow its customer base to more than one billion.

This ambitious plan was revealed by the GMD/CEO of UBA Plc, Dr Oliver Alawuba, during his opening address at the UBA @ 75 anniversary gala dinner held in Abuja over the weekend.

Speaking at the celebration, themed “UBA @ 75 – A Legacy of Excellence… A Future of Impact,” Dr Alawuba emphasized the bank’s commitment to becoming a truly global African institution.

He stated, “At UBA, we are building more than a bank; we are building a future for the next generation of Africans one defined by opportunity, inclusion, and transformation.”

In the next 75 years, we envision a UBA with a presence in every African country and an expansion to over 100 countries worldwide, deepening its role as a truly global African institution.” – Dr Oliver Alawuba, GMD/CEO, UBA Plc

Dr Alawuba outlined the strategies that will drive this expansion, including leveraging cutting-edge technology, prioritizing customer-first innovation, nurturing trusted relationships, and fostering strategic collaborations.

These efforts will be geared towards meeting the evolving needs of individuals, businesses, and governments worldwide.
