Pastor Adeboye categories of madness

The pastor categorised madness into three levels, explaining that the worst are those who pay attention to mad people

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]astor EA Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), sparked a lively social media debate after defining three categories of madness during a recent sermon.

He described the first category as people who are visibly mad, walking around naked. These individuals, he said, represent the lowest form of madness.

The second category includes those who are fully dressed, some even owning luxury items like Rolls Royce cars, yet still exhibit signs of madness.

Pastor Adeboye highlighted that this group could include well-educated individuals, such as those with PhDs, or even religious leaders like Apostles, yet their behaviour remains irrational.

“They may have PhD, they can still be mad. Some who are Apostles by title and yet crazy,” he explained, “there are many of them on Youtube now.”

He noted that one such person’s actions had even caused the global economy to crash.

Pastor Adeboye went on to describe the third and most severe form of madness as people who pay attention to mad individuals.

He explained, “A mad man is dancing, and you’re watching him; your category is three,” stressing that engaging with madness is itself a sign of greater insanity.

His statements have sparked widespread reactions online, with many discussing his thought-provoking categorisation.
