In a keenly contested election, Adeniyi Ifetayo emerged as President-elect, while Gbenga Shaba was elected Vice President. Both leaders bring extensive experience and a vision to advance the association’s mission of strengthening Nigeria’s digital media landscape.

Shaba Gbenga, Vice President-elect, is a veteran public relations strategist and social media consultant. With over 20 years in journalism, he began his career at the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) and later contributed to media outlets such as Hope Newspapers, Encomium Magazine, and YES! International Magazine.

His expertise in PR and media consultancy positions him as a vital contributor to SDNON’s growth.

  • Assistant General Secretary: Adenike Abiona
  • Treasurer: Angela Davies
  • Financial Secretary: Lillian Azuh
  • Registrar: Abdullah Elkurebe

The newly elected executives will be inaugurated in the coming weeks. Their tenure is expected to foster inclusivity, professional development, and innovative solutions to the challenges faced by Nigeria’s digital journalism sector.
