To be held at the BWC Hotel on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, the official visit is to be hosted by the Club’s United President, Rotarian Alexander Chukwu.
The event will begin promptly at 7am and bring together Rotarians, partners and community stakeholders in an atmosphere of warmth and service.
The major highlight of the visit is the club’s official project for the day — a scholarship scheme targeted at three public schools within Lagos State.
The initiative underlines the Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro’s continued commitment to advancing education and alleviating the burden of school fees on underprivileged families.
“This scholarship project speaks directly to our mission,” said Rotarian Chukwu during his address.
“We believe education remains the surest path to long-term impact, and we are proud to take that message into the communities we serve.”
Governor Lanre Adedoyin, who is currently overseeing activities across District 9112, commended the club’s consistency and ambition.
He noted that the club’s chosen project aligned perfectly with Rotary International’s core areas of focus, particularly basic education and literacy.
“It is heartening to see the Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro investing in real impact,” he said, “You are not just ticking boxes; you are changing lives.”
The event is to be a moment of reflection and planning, as Rotarians engage in strategic discussions around service delivery, collaboration with local schools, and follow-up structures to ensure the beneficiaries remain supported throughout the academic year.
As the club continues its outreach work in Lagos, members reaffirm their dedication to inclusive service.
