The Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa recently hosted a successful “Brush Strokes of Hope” art exhibition at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, featuring works from renowned artists like Dr. Bolaji Ogunwo.
[dropcap]B[/dropcap]etween December 17 and 18, 2024, the Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa held an art exhibition at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja.The event, titled “Brush Strokes of Hope,” featured works from fifteen different artists, including renowned painter Dr. Bolaji Ogunwo and renowned artist Timi Kakandar, and was held in collaboration with Dr. Ogunwo and his company, Bollarge Aesthetics.
The exhibition was officially opened by Rtn. Femi Adenekan, Governor of District 9112, who emphasized the importance of creativity and urged the government to prioritize the development of the arts.
A lover of art himself, DG Adenekan was guided through the exhibition by Rtn. Henry Akwara, president of the Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa.
The “Brush Strokes of Hope” exhibition aimed to raise funds for vital humanitarian projects, including pediatric surgeries in India and eye surgeries for the needy.
Rtn. Akwara commended the artists for their creativity and expressed his gratitude to the committee members for their tireless efforts in making the event a success.
Rtn. Victor Ojelabi, Chairman of the Art Exhibition Committee, expressed his satisfaction with the successful hosting of the event.
Other key members of the committee included Rtn. Stella Arukwe, Rtn. Okofu Maudlyn, Amb. Rtn. Olukayode Ariyike, and Rtn. Elizabeth Azubuike.
Temitope Oladeji served as the curator for the art exhibition.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for vital humanitarian projects, including pediatric surgeries in India and eye surgeries for the needy.
