Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has publicly called out her colleague Angela Okorie following remarks she made regarding fellow actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s alleged health struggles

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]ollywood actress Regina Daniels, wife of billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, has publicly called out her colleague Angela Okorie following remarks Okorie made regarding fellow actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s alleged health struggles.

Daniels vehemently condemned Okorie’s comments as insensitive.

The controversy ignited after Angela Okorie held an Instagram live session where she claimed she had “forgiven” Mercy Johnson-Okojie after hearing about her purported health challenges.

The two actresses have notoriously been on bad terms for some time.

During her live session, Okorie stated, “Recently, I heard Mercy Johnson is not feeling well and I really honestly feel for her, and I want the best for her. I want her to win. And, for real, the kind of sickness they told me she has is not something I would ever wish on even my enemies. And today, I’ve forgiven her. I don’t want to say anything else that concerns her. Sometimes, these bloggers are really crazy.”

I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angella …Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No Dey shalaye!!!

However, Angela Okorie’s statement did not sit well with Regina Daniels, who quickly took to her own Instagram page on Tuesday to express her strong disapproval.

Daniels condemned the comments and threw her unwavering support behind Mercy Johnson-Okojie, questioning Angela Okorie’s need to speak of forgiveness.

In a sharp retort, Daniels wrote, “I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angella …Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No Dey shalaye!!!”

Her comments suggest a defiance against any narrative of forgiveness being sought or needed from Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s side.

Meanwhile, Mercy Johnson-Okojie has since dispelled rumours that she was battling cancer, though the nature of the “sickness” Angela Okorie referred to remains unclear.

The public spat has further highlighted the underlying tensions within the Nollywood community.
