The meeting comes amid rising tensions between both rivals, with Portable intensifying verbal attacks in recent weeks and questioning his opponent’s readiness for the contest.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Portable declared his intention to end the fight swiftly, insisting the bout would not go beyond the opening round.
He also alleged that Carter Efe had considered withdrawing from the match, a claim yet to be publicly confirmed.
The Zazu crooner further mocked Carter Efe’s training camp, including his choice of sparring partners, and referenced a prior confrontation involving businessman Abu Abel, where he claimed to have physically dominated the comedian.
Portable enters the contest with prior experience in celebrity boxing, having secured victories in exhibition bouts against Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, strengthening his profile in the entertainment boxing scene.
The much-anticipated fight, scheduled to hold at the Federal Palace Hotel, is sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control and will headline the Chaos in the Ring 4 event.
The event is being promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with Amir Khan’s AK Promotions and will be broadcast globally on DAZN.
Beyond the celebrity headline bout, the card features a strong professional lineup, including a WBO cruiserweight contest between Ezra Arenyeka and Godday Appah, a fight described as symbolically significant for communities in the Niger Delta.
